Laidback Luke – Never Forget ft. More & Killa Karma

So, after 13 years, Luke releases his first album since 2002’s Electronic Satisfaction! 13 years ago… How time flies! This album is beautifulyl well produced and is something that I will treasure for a very long time, the album includes a lot of stunning producers, Yellowclaw, GTA, D.O.D and Benny Benassi, also some gorgeous vocalists who I have admired for many years, Amba Sheperd, Trevor Guthrie, Aruna, Harrison + so many more! This album is something else, really unique and colorful!

I will be reviewing two or three tracks from this album, and the first one to be reviewed is Never Forget, this track is such an absorbing track which has enchanting melodies and gorgeous guitar riffs that make it feel very 70s disco, the way he has produced this is second to none he he! The vocals are just superb and really enticing. This track is dazzling in the ears and sounds just so summery, even though it is now not long until we get to open our Christmas presents…

Never Forget is basically a track that will indeed brighten up your day, whatever the weather he he! It’ll sound really nice to listen to on the way home from work when I am in the evening commute in London and of course it’ll be perfect for that commute home + on the way to work on Christmas Eve (I work in retail, so it shall be a madness he he)
I really do enjoy listening to this song + I really wish Luke the best of luck with this album, I am really proud of him as I have been a huge fan of Luke’s since his early days he he, 2007-2008 I think? But of course Show Me Love will always be in my heart, but this album will be there also!

(You can listen to the album in full below)
But make sure you purchase the entire thing also, it is an album needed for every dance music fan!

Mr Belt + Wezol – RDY2FLY

So this little delight has to be one of my favorites of 2015 so far, such a light, punchy track with a really catchy vocal from the 90s, I’ve actually included the original vocals so you hear how Belt + Wezol have really modernized the vocals. This track is very strong and empowering and the idea and thought for the video is just too good as well!

The track is also really distinguished from other songs on the Spinnin’ Deep label, this track really does take me straight back to the 90s dance/rave scene with the 90s vocals and the 90s piano melody, the slow down has to be my favorite that goes into a really fast build up and plummets into a really strong drop which really does excite the listener tons I am sure he he!

These two have really worked their magic on such an old vocal and given it a new lease of life and it will, for sure, just like the original.. stay around for a very long time!
RDY2FLY is now on Beatport, so go and buy it! Bravo boys! ❤

Sander van Doorn + MOTi – Lost

I have been a huge fan of Sander’s for quite a while now, almost 6 years now I think? I hadn’t seen him live in real life, only through my PC screen he he… So I finally got to see him live at Cream @ Nation for the first time ever, so happy I did! Dream come true to go to a nightclub I’ve been dreaming of to visit + seeing my hero Sander he he!

So I’ve always been a huge fan of his productions too, I think he finds really great sounds + melodies that are really catchy that draw me, that being said, he teamed up with another amazing producer + DJ called MOTi. MOTi’s productions are something else he he.. Lion (In My Heart), Valencia + a really oldie called Krack! and they both sat down and created this gorgeous track with stunning vocals that have just been done perfectly and totally bring out that ‘Lost’ feeling. It is really light + fresh sounding and very absorbing, and as always it is super catchy and it has such gorgeous melodies and it steals my breath every time I hear it! (Hence it’s called Lost, because you will lose your breath he he)

It’s a track that will live in my heart for some time for sure, as it just has that really bubbly sound to it that makes it stick in my head, I am so in love with this! This beauty shall be released tomorrow (6th November) and I am so excited to add it into my hold bin ready to be purchased he he!

Corey James + Will K – Covka

And I finally manage to get around to reviewing this he he! I am loving this track right now as we speak, I’m on my third listen and all I can say is that I can’t describe how powerful this track is and how warming + stunning it is he he! The track is very bubbly and it is also very clean and quite simple in some areas of the song, the drops are just magnificent and this track just packs that little punch that some music needs!

This track is on Protocol Records which I feel it is rightfully home he he… really does deserve to be on this really strong track label because it is a very empowering and is a very engaging track too. The slow drum beat is what a track like this needs, and the tempo is just spot on! The artsy, whispery vocals are unexpected but they really suit the tracks melodies and drum beat…

Julian Calor – Sleeping Androids

So Julian Calor has become a new favorite of mine recently, he has so many delightful, empowering tracks on this album.. This album entitled Evolve is under Revealed Records and it is so eclectic that I couldn’t even decide which track to review he he! I went along with one of my favorite’s, Sleeping Androids!
Now this track that I have fallen in love with FIRST on his album, the melodies and the beat are just gorgeously sublime, the vocals and the glitchyness of the vocals are just superb, reminds me of the 2000s Daft Punk a little a bit, has a little French house to it, but with a more elegant tone.

Sleeping Androids is very dazzling and I can just a real bubbly little track with delightful, glitchy vocals and the lyrics are really fab too… Sleeping Androids needs a little more play time in DJ sets I think because this track is just to good to sit in this album and be forgotten about… I really feel this will be a great track and it will bring back a few older sub-genres of Dance music back on the scene perhaps.

Flux Pavilion – I Got Something

This is I am assuming, taken from Flux Pavilion’s new album Tesla. This track has to be my second favorite from Josh this month… it just has something totally unique and different about it, a little electro house/glitch but with a nice subtle fizz and pop that makes this song stand out and slightly reminds me of the 00s electro house dance music which I love today, so It’s like a little flashback in time to 10 years or so ago ha ha!

Really does have a feel good tune and beat to it as well, reminds me of Superstar by Jamelia or something like that I don’t know why, he’ll hopefully be flattered that I said that, but it really, truly has taken me back in time ha ha!
Listening to it over and over again is just making me fall in love with it too heh, just has a great punch and will totally liven up the Dance music scene and it should hopefully bring back this kind of beat/melody!

The album is out 18th September I think… and so, it is just going to be one of the many long awaited albums I’ll be getting my hands on this year and the next year ha ha! Really fab work Josh!

Atmozfears – Gold Skies (Decibel Anthem 2015)

This stunning, breathtaking track by one of my many favorite hardstyle producers and DJs puts a whole new spin on Hardstyle with this track that has a few snippets of electro house, drum and bass and a little hint of trance… It’s really unreal how he’s mixed all that in one hardstyle track, impressive! It’s a lot more warming and it’s just stunningly catchy, the melody you hear at 02:55 is just something that will grab your heart, trust me ha ha… Capturing something for sure!
It’s so spicy and warming melodies and beats and different tones of darkness and light, it’s also almost elevating in someways as you listen to it a few times!

Hearing this on the train home after work at 6pm (Rush hour) it just made me smile and ready to charge through the many people going home, I do it politely of course he he!

Quintino – Devotion

So… This legendary 90s dance anthem from 1991 and it was a top 10 at number 2 in the UK and number 1 in the US, but one of my favorite producers has just done a stunning re-work of this track which I have fallen in love with, and he has also kept that really big 90s beat which I massively fall in love with he he.
The vocal has been done really well and I am just loving the build up to the drop too, the drop makes my heart quiver and it reminds me a little of Dirty Dutch from way back in 2010, it’s really light and soft but has a really harsh tone (In a really good way he he), which makes me hooked on this 1 min 30 sec clip he he. Devotion at it’s finest and Nomad shall be very proud I think!
A little bit more on that beat and melody now, I feel it still has that rich tone from the original, as I said before, but Quintino has given it a slight modern adjustment and that it indeed that magnificent little build up to the drop… It’s also a little elevating in some sense, it will bring a smile to your face for sure, I can count on it he he!

So there you we go… Devotion by Quintino, this is out tomorrow (21st August) so I shall add this to my Beatport cart ready for when I get paid on the 25th he he! Enjoy! (I am also in love with the art work too 😉 Totally has that 90s graffiti down to a T he he)
